ACCESSABILITY:
Entry into Bhutan can be made either by land or by air. Drukair, The National Air carrier of the kingdom, operates regular flights to/from Paro to Delhi, Calcutta, Kathmandu, Dhaka and Bangkok. By surface, entry into Bhutan is possible through southern border town of Phuntsholing. This frontier town is about six hours drive from Thimphu/Paro.
ENTRY PERMIT:
Indian Nationals travelling between Bhutan and India do not need visas. Passport or election commission I.D. Card is, required to obtain the entry permit from immigration checkpost. Visas – All visitors to Bhutan must have a visa approval prior to arriving in the kingdom. Visas are approved and issued prior to entry, with the pre-payment of your travel itinerary.
